Alsoknowing a bit as I said about TDI woes I bought the Seat EGR delete part, the one that doesn't completely block it and still allows exhaust gasses through, hence the engine doesn't think there's a fault. So car now back and running, no major issues, or at least none that I know of yet so looking good. Thanks again for all your advice.
Heyguys, thought it would be interesting to see what mileage others have reached in their 2.0 TDI engines. I'm currently on 175,250 miles and I have an '06 A3 Sportback 2.0 TDI 140 six speed manual! Engines still pulls strong. Recently fitted Bilstein B8 shocks, H&R 35mm lowering springs and 18 inch OEM Ronal S-line alloys.
Thisworks only for the current drive cycle (IOW it is temporary) start VCDS. 01- Engine. 11- Coding II. enter 22764 and "Do it". EGR is off. Entering 19676 in the same box turns egr back on. Or it will reset to normal (EGR on) the next time you start the car. This may prove useful for various testing or diagnostics purposes.
