You need to focus on talents. Leveling up your characters give very little to not change in damage. You will start to see your characters get a lot stronger from leveling up talents. Level up your characters ONLY to level up their talents. Try to level up your weapons and artifacts, they are very important. Don't waste your exp books on units

When you first unlock co op at Adventurer Rank 16, you’ll be at World Level 0. At Adventurer Rank 20, your World Rank will automatically rise from 0 to 1. This means that if a friend you want to play with is at World Rank 1 , but you’re still at World Rank 0 , then you can’t play together, unfortunately. Which means: if you're the same level as the enemy (both level 100 for example), that would make 50%. if you're level 1 versus a level 100 enemy, that would make 33.3%. if you're level 100 versus a level 1 enemy, that would make 66.7%.
